there
Basingstoke
train station (Central Station Rd; 0845 748 4950) is
serviced by the Southampton (40min from London Waterloo)
and Reading (25min from Reading)
lines.
The city can
be reached by car on the M3 from either London or
Southampton (both 1hr). Reading can be reached on the A33
and M4.
Getting
around
The small
city centre can easily be navigated on foot. Buses run
around the town and most can be picked up from the train
station. They will take you to most outlying areas.
Driving around the city and parking are both
hassle-free.
