Clipping - clipping is a service offered for
most breeds usually the spaniels, shih tzus, westies, scotties, setters, yorkies etc.
Clipping is where the coat is cut with clippers to neatly remove the coat to your
requirements. Some owners like to have the traditional breed clip however if you prefer
you can have the same length clipped all over. Clips include all the extras such as
full bath and groom, nails clipped, ears cleaned and plucked if necessary.
Handstripping - Hand stripping is a service
provided for wire haired breeds such as the terrier group. The old hair is removed
at the root leaving the softer undercoat remaining. This can encourage a more
harsher coat to grow back and may prevent hair follicle infections in these breeds.
Handstripping prices also include all of the extras included with the clips. If you
would rather have your dog clipped then this is also an available option to
you.
Doggy M.O.T’s - This is great for puppies and
short coated breeds such as the Labrador, Beagle, Boxer, Jack Russel, Weimaraner,
Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier etc. A thorough brush through, warm bath and
blow dry, followed by nails clipped and ears cleaned. Finished with a lovely spray
to keep your pooch smelling gorgeous! All other breeds are welcome also for the
M.O.T for those that just want a quick spruce up!
If you have a puppy that may need future grooming - it is very beneficial for them
to come for an M.O.T whilst they are very young. This introduces them to myself and
the grooming parlour, and they are less nervous coming when they are older because
they know that they have an enjoyable experience whilst also feeling clean and
smelling delicious!!
Trim ‘N’ Tidy - The trim and tidy is the same
as the M.O.T. with the addition of a trim up where necessary. Feet and pads, ears,
feathers, skirt and tail are trimmed up including a removal of excess hair on the
body (if needed) to make the coat less full. Great for all breeds but especially
great for Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Collies, Spaniels etc which require
a more natural finish.
De-matting - Please do not worry about bringing
your dog to us if they are matted as we have seen many and are very much used to
it. Due to the severity of some dogs matting, we do charge extra for those dogs
that are severely matted. If your dog doesn't need a full groom but you have
noticed tangles/mats in certain areas, quotes can be given for mat removal areas
such as paws/pads and ears. This doesn't take long and i can usually do this while
you wait. If left it WILL only get worse. I can also recommend products to help
with this.
